RESORT

The Monte Velho Equo Resort is a boutique hotel located 7 km from Arraiolos in a property for Lusitano horse breeding. The architecture of the house and the Equo resort is by Diogo de Lima Mayer, the owner, and the interior design by Margarida de Lima Mayer, his wife. The property blends with the surrounding countryside which one can explore in the horseback rides provided by the resort. Each room opens to a furnished balcony with an amazing view to the dam inserted in a piece of the typical landscape of Alentejo. The rooms offer all modern conveniences, including air conditioning, wireless internet, a multi-channel television, and a Nespresso coffee machine. The ensuite bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a glass wall and features a modern shower cabin at ground height.

Monte Velho can organize themed meals, outdoor picnics and canoeing in the lake. Guests wishing to explore the Alentejo countryside in a horse ride with a guide, or book a lesson with an expert, should make the request in advance. The rooftop pool offers amazing panoramic views. There are few seating areas around the pool with umbrellas and sunbeds, where guests can enjoy high temperatures in the summer and spectacular setting of the sun. The city of Évora, considered World Heritage by UNESCO, is only 30 km from the Monte Velho Equo Resort.
